Kedungu Beach
Kedungu beach as its name located at Kedungu, Belalang village Kediri distric and Tabanan regency. Its about 45 minutes Western of Denpasar, and 15 minutes Western from Tanah Lot temple at Beraban village.
Its a public heritage beach, it was a place for picnic by locals every sunday and holiday like Banyupinaruh or Galungan day. To reach kedungu beach, we will see a great rice farm along the road since entering Belalang village, because the villagers is mostly farmers, not to many of them work as a fisherman, thus the youngster mostly go to tourism industry and some of them are surfing on the beach.
As facing Hindia ocean, Kedungu beach has a great wave to surf especially when high tide, because when its low tide you have to go far from the shore because some coral reef are there, or you have to wait till the good wave come. Not to many surfers yet come to Kedungu, I believes because not to many of them know this beach and low promotion. Mostly of the surfers are locals. When its high tide, the wave usually at least 1.5 meters to 2 meters.
There are some villas around but not to many yet, they offer a great combination of rice farm and beach views, and also the rural atmosphere, great run away from the crowd. As mostly Balinese people, the villagers are welcome to the outsiders and they are very friendly and cooperative. You will see no pedagang acung as at Kuta beach, but there will be a locals stall to buy some drink, snack and local food like sate, or instant noodles. You need go to Tanah lot to go to fancy restaurant.
Not to many things you can enjoy at Kedungu beach but the great atmosphere and wave, this may be one of the surfer paradise in the future.

The waves here isn't as high in Hawaii but it is surprising to eat delicious food at an affordable price.
Agree, the waves is good for beginner but in some season could be high.
